Kids Dance Program in San Antonio

At SMASH Dance Studio in San Antonio, we help kids discover confidence, creativity, and joy through movement. Our classes welcome children of all ages and skill levels, from preschool beginners to experienced young dancers, in a fun and encouraging space. Students can explore a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Musical Theatre, Pom, K Pop, Acro, and Zumba Kids. Our Kosmic Kpop Dance Team gives passionate young dancers a chance to perform and grow as part of a close-knit group. Every year, our students take the stage for two showcases that raise funds for local charities, teaching the importance of community and kindness through dance. At SMASH, we believe every child deserves a place to move, express themselves, and be part of something special.

Why Choose SMASH Dance

Our kids programs start as young as age 3 and continue through teens. Each class is designed to match the student’s age, skill level, and creativity, helping them grow in confidence and coordination.

We offer a variety of styles including Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tumbling, and K-Pop. Our instructors focus on building strong foundations while keeping each class fun, active, and engaging.

We always encourage parents to let their child try a class first to see if they enjoy it and feel comfortable in the environment. Once they find the class that fits them best, registration can easily be completed online or at the studio.

Comfortable, fitted clothing that allows movement works best. Sneakers or dance shoes are recommended depending on the class. Avoid jeans or loose jewelry for safety and mobility.

Yes. Our students participate in two showcases each year, giving them the opportunity to perform on stage for family and friends while supporting local charities through our Project SMASH community outreach program.

Kosmic is our exciting K-Pop performance group for kids and teens who love high-energy choreography and teamwork. Members train together to learn iconic routines and perform at local San Antonio events and showcases. It’s a great way to build confidence, stage presence, and lifelong friendships.

We make dance accessible with drop-in classes, multi-class packs, and unlimited memberships that fit every schedule and budget.

No, parents are not allowed in class during regular sessions. However, parents are welcome to stay for the first class until their child feels comfortable. After that, parents can watch a live stream of the class directly on their phone through our app, giving them peace of mind while allowing kids to stay focused and independent in class.
