Co-Founder Rob Romero
Lisa Valdes, Founder of SMASH, Vegas Stiletto Fitness, and Project SMASH is a mother, and a grandmother. A Las Vegas native, Lisa grew up as a competing gymnast for Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts Las Vegas where she also trained in ballet, tap, and jazz. Later as an adult, she trained in ballroom and belly dance. Her love for performing on stage grew as she danced and choreographed for a performing Las Vegas show band called, “Suave” , which was managed by her father at the Las Vegas Tropicana Hotel. During this time, Lisa also directed the dance troupes “Latin Desert Girls” and was a salsa performer for the Sin City Salseros performing Salsa Group.
Her love for teaching dance started with the opportunity given to create a dance program for a Las Vegas recreational center for at- risk youth. Having the freedom to teach what she wanted, she created dance programs for pre schoolers, salsa & bellydance for kids. She also started the basic tumbling program, and jazz/hip hop for kids. She was awarded & recognized by Clark County, NV Parks & Recreation for her dedication to dance. She later moved to MIAMI, FL in 2001 and provided dance and cheer programs for Goodlet Park theater in Hialeah, Florida. In 2005 she started SMASH, School of Martial Arts, Salsa, & Hiphop back in her home town, Las Vegas. SMASH was recognized by Senator Reid for conserving cultural dance classes. By 2008, SMASH was changed to School of Modern Arts, Salsa, & Hip hop to focus more on dance and fitness.

Project SMASH offers dance and fitness classes for local shelters, children homes, and rehabilitation centers in both San Antonio and Las Vegas. We all know the effect dance and fitness can provide for everyday people, imagine what it does to those who have gone through trauma. We are dancing and teaching for a cause!
Our SMASH mission is to help youth & adults achieve their fitness goals, teach our instructors to give back by sharing their own talents with others, and give our students the opportunity to use their energy in a positive outlet through the expression of dance & fitness. We work hard to accomplish this through SMASH, Project SMASH, & VSF.

Ms. Brandy
I began my dance journey as a preschooler with ballet, then as I got into junior high and high school I tried some cheer and hip hop. During my college years at Northwest Vista I was able to expand into belly dance, ballroom dance, tap dance, and even became part of the Repertory Dance Ensemble. After graduating college, SMASH gave me the opportunity to share my love of dance with all our wonderful members. I am happy to be here for you every step of the way during your dance and/or fitness journey.
Art and learning about world cultures have always been a big part of my life. When I was young I also got interested in Japanese and Asian culture through Anime and would practice drawing the characters often (sometimes you may see some of my artwork at the studio!). Aside from English, I can also speak some Spanish and Japanese (and very little Korean). In May 2017, I was able to visit Tokyo for the first time and experience a great deal of Japanese culture. I wanted to bring some of that Asian culture to SMASH, so I started doing K-Pop dance classes through Project SMASH

Hello my name is Veronica I am from San Antonio Texas. Growing up I always loved to sing and dance with my cousins who used to be dancers on a tv show, so naturally I would learn the choreo and joined them.I was in choir through out my high school years I had the opportunity to perform in several plays like The Phantom of the Opera which is one of my all time favorites as well as Jesus Christ Superstar and many more.. I started doing Zumba back in 2008 and I have not stopped. I love dancing and losing myself in the music, those are the moments that I live for!
I like to see my students have fun and for one hour just let go! I have a wonderful family and friends that support me in everything I do and when I walked into Smash everyone there was ready to go, I love the people, the energy and the atmosphere here! I'am blessed to be able to do what I love and to share my passion with others. Never miss a chance to Dance
